Tale of the Five Fools was created over a 2-year span with the goal of being my most ambitious project yet. There were a lot of hurdles along the way, and I found it very difficult to continue working on it. I was constantly frustrated and mentally exhausted from diving into these songs, and now today I am ready to consider this project completed. I am willing to live with the (many) imperfections that you will hear if you listen to this all the way through, and I will never not be proud of what I accomplished with this album. One of the early tracks I wrote was The Miser of Misery, and I remember the feeling I had when I was belting out "I don't care!" for the song's chorus. I truly felt during those recording sessions that nothing mattered, I was making music and telling the stories I wanted to tell. I hope you will go along on this journey with me on this album. Thanks for listening.
